Thanks to professional care, undergoing all stages of arduous treatment, and the support of her loved ones, the actress managed to recover completely.

She also offers support to her fans who find themselves in critical situations, such as a student from Georgia who suffers from a severe blood infection. Vergara recorded a special video for her, saying: «You are always in our thoughts; you are a strong, courageous person. We are so proud of how wonderfully you are doing and we are praying for all the best. I hope that soon I will be able to meet you, give you a warm hug, and tell you in person how proud I am of you.»
